Fel's visit

Good to have met with Fel. He visited before the Bangkok forum. So nice to meet the guy who has been a good friend, a director, a teammate, a confidante, a mentor and a ninong. We missed him and Lorrie so much. Having had dinner with him brought home some fond memories. It is a pity we could not work with him as closely as we could.

A Closed Door

May 19, the much awaited interview date at the US embassy. The officer did not even look at the one-inch thick supporting papers that we brought with us. He seems to be new and does not know what to look for or ask. Finally, after asking a colleague and tryping something on his computer, he stamped the pasports and gave them back to us saying" sorry you are not qualified for an R visa".

Normally, we woulld consider this a "closed door", however, deep in our hearts, even if it is a closed door, we believe some windows will open up. We just have to trust.

Everything I need

A quiet coffee break at the mall...led me to "Because the Lord is my shepherd, I have everything that I need". This is present tense..."He leads me to do what honors HIM the most". Lord help me not to do any stupid thing which will dishonor Your name. The goal-oriented person in me wants to help God most of the time so I can get what I want in my own time.

Music Comforts the aching soul.

Hot summer days, few support contacts, getting heavier sometimes make me so blue and depressed. A sudden urge to get back to music to soothe the aching soul came. I opened my guitar case and my 1001 songbook. Sure enough the old songs, from folk to pop, to rock to ballads, to alternative enabled me to release the tension within. The melodies, the sound, the strumming, all points to the MASTER MUSICIAN who comforts the down and out.

Oasis in the desert

Another CNB Manila meeting last Monday. Seems like we are all in the desert waiting for an oasis to suddenly appear before our eyes.
