Last Sunday, our buyer, John Z. finally took all the stuff he bought from us. The truck was two thirds full of our stuff. Two days passed already, our house has fewer things and we are still okay. It just goes to show that we really do not need that much to go on in this life. As I was browsing thorugh the design books at Power Books, I came across this minimalist quote "The people who want the fewest things are nearest to the gods. (Socrates)."
The plus factor for me is that there are less stuff to clean and life can be devoted more to relationships. I miss the comfort of opening a fridge and brewing my cup of java, but there is always ice available at the store and instant sugar free coffee.
